 Over the last few years Bird watching has become a significant event in south Texas. The secret is out as there are hundreds of species of birds who call south Texas home and millions that reside and winter there. The DropTine Ranch is a bird paradise for several reasons. First the ranch is located in the middle of a major flyway for many species of birds. Secondly, we farm year round and supplemental feed our wildlife so there is a buffet on every day of the year and lastly we have a lot of supplemental water all over the ranch that acts as a magnet for all wildlife. To list this is just some of the birds you will see on the ranch, hundreds of species of Ducks, Rio Grande Turkey, Dove, Bobwhite Quail, several species of Hawks, Eagles, Owls, Jays, Woodpeckers, Cardinals, Orioles, Humming Birds, Song Birds, Swallows, Parrots, Vultures, Egrets, Herons and much more.
